My Year and Gratitude :)

Well .... cant believe 2007 is gonna b over in less than 12 hours time... i would say it has been a really enriching year...filled with lots of fun...haha....many ups and downs.... but im glad that the ups outweighs the downs :) .... haha... this is gonna be a very long post ... haha...can listen to the song on my blog for company while reading it...lolz...anyway.... i shall waste no time on Reviewing my year :)

First up ... my O level results .....hahaha..that was the first major event of the year...i remembered i was so exicted about my results that i couldn't really sleep the night before... kept thinking about how i will fare....good or bad.... hahaha... in the end ...it turned out quite okie....the result that i more or less expected :) hahahaha

Then it was the Joint Admission Exercise... i chose to go to Ngee Ann Poly...Business Information Technology Course...hahaha ...however my JAE results said otherwise..i was posted to the Business Enterprise IT Course in Nanyang Poly.... was rather disappointed with the result.....cuz Nanyang Poly was too far for me...and i wasn't really sure about the course cuz it was a new course.... in the end i decided to appeal to go to Ngee Ann Poly's Information Technology Course.... i kept praying that the appeal would be successful :) and ... Wala! haha... it was successful! Gonna Go Ngee Ann Poly! .... lolz

Next Sports Camp! i received information about this camp for freshies while i was browsing through the Enrolment Package .... in the end i joined this camp with Hafiz and Haikal ....haha..stayed over at haikal's house the night before to watch the Liverpool v Arsenal match...haha ....

What was to happen on the first day of camp would be a very life-changing one ....haha. we arrived at the NP Sports Hall in the morning..and we were divided into our groups...the 3 of us were in different groups ....haha..there were a total of 8 groups...the names were all tribe names... mine was AKHA .... Haikal's was Wappo and Hafiz's was Cheetahete ..haha.. i was quite nervous during the group interaction...cuz it was the first time i saw my GLs and my fellow group mates ... My Gls were Charles,Xin Jian,Ginni,Hong Yun,Ameer,Sebastian,Midori and Yan Yi :) and i realli like my sports camp group AKHA!!cuz they were realli friendly ppl and they were afterall the very first friends i made in poly...so they are special indeed...haha..throughout the day we were introduced to all the sports clubs in Ngee Ann..then came the station which was to be the one which decided how my poly life is gonna be... it was the OB station! haha...
I think it was Dong Yang who explained the task to our group..we had to find a way to get past a badminton court stand using a pole...it seemed quite dangerous to me... cuz the stand was quite high...with a string tying to both stands..my first few group mates were able to jump across safely...then came my turn...my other groupmates were supporting me while i prepared to jump....I jumped..but i felt as if i tripped over the string and the next thing i knew was ...BANG!!

I found myself lying on the floor in pain....i couldn't feel my arms...could see lots of people crowding over me...den the Camp Organizer came and brought me to the room.... where i was treated by the OB members ... it was at that moment...where i first talked to the 14th comm ..and my impression of them were very good ... they seem to be really fun ppl to b with and they are still fun ppl to be with :) ...hahaha.. have to thank eunice and daren for treating my leg wounds and wen ting for massaging...hahaa... wah...she can realli b a professional masseuse(did i spell it correctly??)..hahaha...yeah...
so i had to leave the camp on the first day..but i returned on the campfire nite....i had lots of fun....cuz after that.....it was like clubbing siaz..the entire convention hall..was dark and there was music blasting all over the place where we danced like siao !!hahaha... I gotta say I thoroughly enjoyed Sports Camp!!haha

Then school started...i got to know my new classmates....and Leon was in the same class as me..hahaha....i enjoyed campus life :) hahaha....its realli different from secondary school...den comes the CCA.... i joined 3 CCAs initially..u might think im crazy....but yea...i did join 3 ccas...OB,Floorball and Futsal... in the end..im left with only one... OB ...Outward Bounders...hahaa...cuz i found that i cant cope with so many...

I have to say... OB has realli been a great CCA....its more than an adventure club..its like one big family..where we meet every friday...to destress...talk about each other's week..the feeling is great and i look forward to every training.. :) ...hahaha... I learnt many stuff like knots & lashings,went for first aid and kayaking courses... really enriching

OBS was also another highlight...the first time i was involved in an outward bound course...haha...it was truly an experience unlike any other...learnt to cutter sail.... sniffed oranges when i was seasick...jungle night walk....and kayaking more than the the entire length of pulau ubin....hahhaa...these activites were really memorable... i would really encourage everyone to go sign up for an OBS course if u guys have a chance to :)

I was also involved in 2 sub-comm events as you would have known... Stong and Sun Love....I treasure the experience of both sub-comms....had fun during both events... As for Stong, the meetings were really very good..its like..everyone in the sub-comm really looked forward to every meetings... and the event itself was unbelievable :) and also strengthed the bond between us...
For sun love.... the event itself was a blast...and i would like to thank the sub-comm.....for the meetings that were indeed very interesting...hahah...and dong yang and eunice for their ever encouraging words for each of us... :) ... the helpers,GLs and participants were great as well :) ... Bringing fun to the camp!!heheheahaha...

2ndly... there was the what's next camp...i was a participant....and my group consisted of wei kai,ben,kk,hui ting,dai en, yo yo,jia junn, jia jun, sally and wen ting...hahaha..sally and wen ting couldnt join us on the 1st day....which was kinda sad..cuz our first day was so eventful...we had a robbery case which happened while we were waiting for the bus and shortly after.... a mad man was throwing the dsutbin and threatened to throw the dustbin at us and wanted to fight us..luckily..a guy came and told that mad man to back off... we had to stay back cuz the police came and wanted our statement..well...all in all...it was an amazing day...lolz..haha..

however, i had to leave on the 2nd day...cuz i had to prepare for my st john nco course passing-out-parade... straight after leaving the group...i went home and prepared to go to the sub-centre to prepare some memorable stuff for my platoon.. JULIET Platoon...hah...den on sunday it was the passing-out-parade... it has been sometime since i've been to a passing-out parade.... haha... den after that....we gave the platoon our memorable stuff...i gave them m&m chocolates....and wrote to each of them a small note of apology for pang-sehiing them during the course..i was given the nickname of PS-king...haha..guess you should know what that means...

After that, there was supposed to be a bbq for all the instructors...but i didnt go..cuz i really wanted to rest after a hectic 2 week term break..and usher in the new year with a smile:) ..haha..finally..its all over...can enter the new year and final term of year 1 ...with happiness...anticipation :)

I'm really grateful for the things i have in my life...my friends..my lappy...my ipod..my crumpler bags..my family... my friends because though i have not talked with some of my secondary school friends after so long....they still remember me...and of course those whom i talk to quite regularly...where we can talk about anything...reminicising the sec school days....
poly friends are great....cuz with them you know you can share with them your laughter and your sad times... i would say...i love them both..secondary and poly friends...primary school friends..i have lost contact with them somewhat...until oni recently when 2 of them contacted me thru friendster....hahha

my family is very important..feel the warmth of your family...when its very late at night...at least you know you still have a house to go home to ...this is home..truly :) ....hahaha

Christmas,Year 2007 and New Year :)

I just love christmas :) hahaha.... especially this year... cuz i juz had one hell of a Christmas Party Yesterday at ShuJuan's house with the OB members...hahaha...we were playing at the pool and kept throwing each other into the pool...hahaha..some were swinged or dragged...hahha....only a few were spared..hahahaha....and i was the first one to get thrown in lolz..... haha.... and after that we exchanged gifts....i bought a book( a very interesting one) .... hahaha... and i received a cute soft toy which can also be used as a speaker...hahaha....cool and cute ....

I actualli had 2 christmas celebrations...one was yesterday while the other one was during Sun Love Camp 3 days ago....hahaha.... Sun Love Camp was great and fun!!hahaha.... though it was a 2d 1n camp... it was a very fun learning experience for me as PC during the camp....though i didnt really played all the games with them...i was happy that the participants and everyone else enjoyed it....hahahaha..... and of course christmas night....hahaha..kee swee and hafiz...they were the hosts....It was a very funny Christmas Night and i was very high that nite..where i kept laughing and some of the stuff the participants did....they were very small but very cute...hahahaha...and not to mention the helper's dance too!!hahaha

Gotta say this year has been one heck of a year..its the most fun filled year i have ever experienced ... i will of course blog about it soon....hahaha... Still have one more camp left...What's Next Camp....will be held from 27-30 december..... but i have to leave on the third day...cuz i have my Advance NCO Course Passing Out Parade to attend... and also apologise to my platoon... Juliet Platoon for not being with them during their camp...yeah...

Anyways... I Shall look forward to the new year with great anticipation ....hahaha... in the mean time .... MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!HAHAHA Jingle Bell Jingle Bell Jingle Bell Rock :)

hahahah...i'll be gone for a 3 day 2 night camp from tomorrow onwards...yeap..its Sun Love Camp...tomorrow is actualli the Preparation Camp for the main camp on saturday & sunday...so excited about it...hahhaha...hope the entire sun love sub-comm will be able to do a good job out of it... :) ...hahha...n i will want to do my best...and hope everything goes smoothly...hehhe... yup..so i'll be gone until sunday..and there goes my 1st week of term-break...hahha...

HAAHA.... i will defintely update on the camp..heheh...so pics will definetely be up.. :) till then.. Cya

Holidays,Holidays,Holidays

Holidays have begun..hahaha...and it marks the beginning of a hectic 2 week break....
Hectic in this case....means fun and meaningful...hahha..
Why do i say that? cuz i have got 2 camps coming up Sun Love Camp and What's Next Camp... (:
First Sun Love Camp...im in the Sub-comm for this camp...and the Programme Coordinator...gotta plan the camp's activites along with my trusted parnter... ShuJuan....hahaha...the process has been long....and we did encounter problems...but all these only helped to strengthen our bond with each other in the sub-comm...and we really enjoyed our time during the meetings..with all those jokes...hahha

So it all boils down to this friday,saturday and sunday....when the prep camp and camp itself will take place...hahha... realli hope it will be a success..even though there were some last min changes... :)

As for What's Next Camp, heard that its an annual NPOB event...which is a must-go!hahha...i am of course going...but i wun b around for the last day..cuz i have to attend my St John Advance NCO Course Passing-Out Parade...i have been M-I-Aing for many days of the course...so i reallly have to go for this parade...and also apologise to my platoon...i wasn't with them during the camp...hahaha

Plus i still have outings..... :) and christmas eve celebrations hahha...all in all...a much anticipated term break... seems very busy... but when next year comes along...haha
I'll be more free... heehaha :)

I really want to apologize for my decision to withdraw from the interview. I know it is a decision which is in no way good at all. I am not trying to give up or anything. I'm just trying to make sure that i won't regret my decision when the time comes. So i have came up with this decision. I will go ahead with the 2nd comm interview. My mind is still set on being a participant. However, there is every chance that it might change. It all boils down to the 2nd interview and sun love camp. :)
This has been a stressful week for me. So I might have made a rash decision.

Good News & Bad News..

Okie i shall take about the Bad News First.... After much consideration...for a couple of months or so... i have decided to withdraw from the 15th comm interview.... the reason??? its rather complicated...i found it difficult to put it in words initially....

After experiencing 2 sub comms....Stong and Sun Love....i feel that maybe i am better suited to contribute to OB as an active participant rather than being in the committee.....That's not to say i dont enjoy my 2 sub comms....thats totally untrue.... In fact i love them both...the fun times we shared...the jokes...good times bad times..they were all invaluable experiences.....

However, i feel more at ease being a ordinary member....i just have this feeling..while when im doing my duty while being in a subcomm...i cant explain the feeling...its like....the enjoyment is not as much as being a participant.....i somehow...dont feel the same happiness...again this feeling is difficult to put down in words...so if anyone has misunderstood what i have just said....do not be angry or anything....i have nothing against anything or anyone....just my feelings

However, i have my sun love camp up next...where i am the PC....rest assured...i will do my best for this camp...n my decision to withdraw will not affect my performance during the camp...have to put aside personal feelings when it comes to serious work...

I'm really sorry if my decision has disappointed anyone.

This decision has been one which is difficult to make, but it had to be made. Anyways, JIA YOU!! to those going for the 2nd comm interview on 16 december..... I have faith in all of you!!!Good LucK!!! :)


To end this post with something happy, heres the good news.

After a long time, i have finally caught up with 2 of my primary school friends, Shi Qiang and Ian. Shi qiang first added me on friendster and wrote me a comment..i was surprised and happy to see him...then today we chatted on msn..n he gave me ian's e-mail...so i ended up talkin to both of them.... I'm glad they are both doing fine :) .....its been a Looooonnnnggggg time since i last saw them...and Shi qiang told me that my face havent changed abit....hmm...dunnoe whether to be happy or sad to hear that ...hahahaha...
Anyways...if my schedule permits....hope i can meet up with them soon...hahha.....

im mugging for my common test now...but im still gonna make this post....haha...im so tired...feeling cramps here and there...and i sprained my leg while eating on sunday...BUT im still happy...why??

Because i completed the 21.1km half-marathon event of the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon Event on sunday.... YeaH!!! i was so nervous the night before...but it all ended well :)

hahah...im so proud of everyone....all of us did a great job!!! :)....now i cant wait till next year...im gonna run the full marathon 42.195km.....gonna challenge myself :)..hahahah

anyways...after the run....while slacking near the bag collection booth....there were lots of camera girls who wanted to take our photos...dunnoe y??hahaha...maybe its because????haha
