KAYAKING!!!HAHA

Well..finally..i have completed Kayaking Star 1..which was on the 16 n 17 june...dat explains my late posts...sorry guys..havent been updating my blog..cuz too busy n nth to blog abt also..aniwaes.....haha.. woah...i must say i had a realli enjoyable time learning how to kayak...hehe...well on the first day...we were supposed to meet at sembawang mrt..to take the shuttle bus to SAF Yacht Club..haha..but the shuttle bus..or van rather was so small...it had to drive one half of us to the club first..then drive the rest after dropping us....well...u cant realli expect much from a van.. Aniwaes.. when we arrived..we were brought to a room..to put our bags..n stuff...next we were down to the grass court for our instructors to introduce themselves..they were faizal,rositha n hub...haha..nt sure if i spelt their name correctly...dey then introduce parts of the kayak to us...n den we had to do our buoyancy test in the water..to ensure we can float on the water...next..was our confidence jump..where we had to swim to a floating ramp..n jump into the water..to ensure we r confident in the water...haha...next we proceeded to our purpose of going there...kayaking...haha..we learnt how to pedal forwads,backwards,turn right and left...n learn how to stop...haha....on the first day we had to kayak on doubles..cuz it was more stable..haha...my partner was Kee Swee...we had a fun time kayaking...haha..throughout the day...our kayak just couldnt go straight after juz a few forward pedals...we had to keep..pedalling right or left to ensure we r going in the direction...haha n we juz couldnt park our kayak properly...haha..alwaes had to depend on those parked kayaks to pull us in...haha...TeamWork was lacking...haha..but the FUN wasnt...hehe....den at the end of the day..we learnt how to capsize ourselves properly...it was the most fun part of the day i guess...haha...

Next, now comes the second day...weilson came wif us to take our pics..n also to know how to get there...hmm...what a start to the second day man....on the second day...some of those who were in doubles the previous day changed to singles..where we would then switch after lunch...me n kee swee...chose to remain in doubles before lunch n so did ian n shu juan..n some of the others as well...haha...we had a veri funny start...haha..me n kee swee were kayaking....but suddenly..all of a sudden a wave hit us....the current was rather big on the second day...haha..den we capsized..we even had time..to shout ...AHHH!!!..hahaha...we of course had to b rescued...den rositha came n ask the rest of the doubles to come n help rescue...it wasnt easy lolz...we drifted quite far..where the current was big...n it was quite dangerous...we also caused another doubles to capsize....they were hong soon n wei kai..haha..sorry guys..but thanks for trying to rescue us n to those who helped to rescue as well...hahaha....after lunch....
we den switched over to singles... where we had to do an expedition...we were briefed abt it in the room..n we had to kayak in the Charlie Formation...where it is the shape of a diamond...the trip leader was Ian...haha..den he saboed kee swee to be the assistant Trip leader...den i was also saboed to be one of the Tail End...haha..nice one but it was tiring yet fun...my other TE was faizal....i was supposed to ensure no one is behind me..so i had to push the ppl in front of me...haha..initially..ai fang struggled to kayak...so i tried to encourage her to relax n juz kayak slowly...but she was rather scared so faizal ask me to go ahead n push the rest while he stayed to help her... den i juz kayak..n i had to also push jacqueline to go faster..so as to catch up wif the rest...haha..both of us were veri tired..but i juz told her nt to give up...n dat we r reaching the gathering point soon...or raft-up point...haha...the expedition was a success..thanks to everyone!!YEAH!!!..haha...all in all i wld say it was a fruitful course for me...n i would realli want to go for STAR 2!!.haha
