Love Is The Answer

Long Post :)

Nope. I'm not in love or anything. hahaha the title of the post is actually the title of a book i've just finished reading. It's a really good book and i am very inspired by it :) i was reading syafiq's latest blog post, which was taken from a autobiography of Park Ji-Sung, a South Korean footballer. But i have long wanted to make this post about my book so yeah. It is somewhat similar to syafiq's post but it doesnt matter. :)

Love is The Answer. Love in this sense, means your relationship with your family, friends, girlfriends, boyfriends, spouses and so on and so forth. This book tells and teaches you how to mend broken relationship. It teaches you to learn to look at bad situations in a loving way. meaning to look on the bright side of things.

For example, if you have a classmate whom you really hate and dislike. you find that there is absolutely no reason to talk to him and work with him. As time goes by, the problem will of course deepen. you will keep thinking of ways to avoid him when you can.

Solution: Try to stop for a few moments and tell yourself this. -> I forgive you, I forgive myself, I love you, I love myself. Yes. It can work. and you will soon start to see the good points of that person and focus on it. his/her bad points will then naturally become less significant to you. This doesnt mean u can condone his behavior though but just try to look at that person as someone who is crying for help to be understood and not some one who is very unfriendly, very unapproachable :)

This is just one of the lessons i've learnt from this book. There are many lessons though. i'll just name a few :)

" If i find myself angry about people's behavior, i will remind myself that it is only my own thoughts and attitudes that hurt me"

"Today i make the decision to be happy, choosing to forgive and to love instead of being the King or Queen of the procrastinator's club"

"Today, no matter whom I'm with, i will remind myself of the single question, " How can i be of service to others?" - remembering that in helping others i heal myself." Healing myself in this case refers to healing yourself of all the troubles and problems that you are facing.

You know from this book i've actually noticed something very true. something that we all know but we just do not like to say it. Whenever we're interacting with people, be it friends, family members or BGR relationships. We always want to write scripts for them, what do i mean?

well it means we always have a few things we expect them to do and have like what they should or should not do when they're with you and their appearance and all.

But we human beings are born like that. no one is perfect. we just have to accept people for who they are. That is natural beauty. I mean sometimes i admit i fail to see it. but at least i know that everyone has it. we just have to look closer to find it.

C'mon. if everything and everybody in this world is so perfect. won't it be so boring. nothing exciting to spruce up our lives. get my point?

i think we should stop focusing on the negative points of people too much. it just clouds our view of who the person really is.

Choose to love and not to hate. :)

Once again i really love this book and i recommend you all to read this book. Once again its called.

Love is the Answer by Gerald G. Jampolsky, M.D. , and Diane V. Cirincione

Thats all :)
